Extra Stuff

I usually have a decent selection of fans and other miscellaneous hardware laying around for when I decide to do another project. Some of this stuff I have on hand and some of it was purchased specifically for this build.

Heatsink - Zalman CNPS7700-CU

Because of the bungle on the Watercooling order, I will need a Heatsink to run the system until I can install the Watercooling. This Zalman was first used in my Desktop and was then moved to HTPCv1.

Fans - Five GlobalWin 80mm Fans

I am partial to Panaflows, but apparently they changed the wiring on them recently. I picked the GlobalWins because of their Cost / Noise / CFM ratio. The last two fans will mount outside the case on the radiator.

Fan Grills - Two 80mm Black Fan Grills and Two 80mm Black Fan Filters

The fan grills will mount on the exhaust fans and the filters will be mounted on the radiator fans.

Fan Cables - Three pin Extension Cables and Three Pin Y-Cables

I don't expect to use all of these; I just grabbed a handful for the picture. The motherboard only has a total of four fan headers. I will be running five fans and a 12v pump which means I will need a minimum of two y-splitters.

Drive Cables - Ac Ryan Roundcable2-FX

I had a couple of these lying around from a previous build. They work great for Hard Drive to Hard Drive and CD-Rom to CD-Rom. I am a bit concerned about it working on Hard Drive to CD-Rom. We'll find out during the build.

Noise Dampening - Five 80mm Noise Isolator Kits and one PSU Noise Isolator Kit

I bought these because they were cheap. These are supposed to reduce vibration from the fans. It’s anybody's guess as to whether or not they actually make a difference, but I figured I'd try them.

Bits and Pieces

This is the box I keep all of my odds and ends in. It contains many different types of screws, terminals, heat shrink, and some other small items. I also have a bunch of mesh wire sleeving which is not pictured.
