Site Updates
November 3, 2004
- Well the madness is over, at least for the next four years. When the election results started to come in, it looked like we were going to have a repeat of 2000 being that Florida had over a million absentee ballots that had not yet been counted. But Florida was not an issue this time around. Instead all eyes were on Ohio which every news network had put into the Bush column except for CNN. In fact late in the night, NBC had moved Ohio back into the undecided column because the count was too close. By about 1am (PST) it was pretty obvious that there was no way for Kerry to pull out 140,000 votes from the provisional ballots.
- I have been spending most of my free time playing the new Grand Theft Auto game, San Andreas. The game is excellent and I would rank it above Vice City, with the exception of the music. There is a whole lot more to do in San Andreas than the previous games and you could easily spend a very long time trying to find it all. Going back to the music, I really liked the radio stations in Vice City because I grew up on Retro and Classic Rock. The music selection in San Andreas is mostly Rap and Hip hop, but there is some good stuff in there.
- Finally I have a quick reminder for all of you Star Wars fans out there. Thursday Night (November 4th) Access Hollywood will be airing the first teaser trailer for Episode Three. Check your local listings for times. You can also see the trailer attached to Pixar's The Incredibles which opens Friday.
June 30 - August 30, 2004
- The Olympics are now in full swing. I wish I had more time to sit down to watch the games, but between work and my other commitments it's pretty difficult. I added a medal count to the left side of this page. It should be updated automatically whenever someone wins a medal.
Episode III Title Announced!!! Today at the San Diego Comic Con, Lucas Arts finally revealed the title of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith This is exciting news as we draw closer to the release of the final chapter in the Star Wars Saga. Expect to see a teaser trailer of Revenge of the Sith in the Star Wars Triligoy DVD release. The full movie trailer will be released early next year. Only ten more months to go!!!
There is a HUGE news update today. Also, I added some funny flash movies to the "fun stuff" section including the George Bush / John Kerry This Land is your Land parody. Enjoy!
I made some modifications to the stie css so that it looks better in Netscape / Mozilla. I also updated the news which includes an article about the passing on of Jerry Goldsmith who created the themes for the newer Star Trek Television shows.
Small update today. I added my latest Ulink article which details the history behind Intel and AMD's processor offerings. Wooo..... Updates have been slow lately because I have been busy with numerous things, but I still try to update the news at least three times a week. Make sure to check out the news section regularly. There are many entertaining stories about how stupid some people can be.
Episodes 10, 11, and 12 of Pulp Phantom should now be fixed. When I moved the files offsite, those episodes did not apparently get uploaded completely. Thanks to the people who pointed this out to me. I have started preliminary work on the Star Wars section, but there is not much there yet. Take a look if you want.
June 29, 2004
- Well I am now averaging about 10gb of bandwidth monthly for Pulp Phantom. Fortunately they have not yet complained about this. And I am using about a Gig per month on this site due to the fact that it is still ranked as number 1 on Google. Our admins are pleased that I am no longer using 14gb of our bandwidth.
- Yesterday marked the release of the new Xeon processors (Noccona) and the E7525 chipset (Tumwater). I have one thing to say about this: Drooooooooooooooool..... Dual 800mhz FSB Xeons with 1mb of cache, Serial ATA and PCI Express. That would make a killer gaming system...
May 18, 2004
- Episodes 10, 11, and 12 of Pulp Phantom should now be fixed. When I moved the files offsite, those episodes did not apparently get uploaded completely. Thanks to the people who pointed this out to me. I have started preliminary work on the Star Wars section, but there is not much there yet. Take a look if you want.
May 6, 2004
- Well I managed to suck up a gig of my new host's bandwidth yesterday. On the plan I am currently on, I am allowed 4gb of traffic per month and I am already halfway there after four days. I have the ability to upgrade my account to allow for 15gb of traffic per month which I will probably be doing in the next week, but that is as far as I will go. I am making no money off of this, and I do not believe in having advertising everywhere. That means once the bandwidth limit is hit, Pulp Phantom will be unavailable until the beginning of the following month. And if (when) my host decides to pull the plug on Pulp Phantom, I will not be putting it up elsewhere.
- I added some new pictures to the photo gallery, and I have started preliminary work on the Star Wars section. Also I will be putting up a gallery in the computer section devoted to my favorite new toy which is my Alienware laptop.
May 3, 2004
- I have moved Pulp Phantom offsite. After getting 6,000 hits in three days, I figured it would be best if it was not on our webserver. Some people may experience problems accessing it for a few days as it is a brand new domain and it may not have yet propogated across the country. So if you get a page error when trying to pull it up, try back in a day or two. It should be fine then. And I cannot stress this enough, If you send me a note via the form and do not include your e-mail address, I will have no way of contacting you. A few people have been asking me questions and I cannot answer them, because I do not know where to send the reply.
May 1, 2004
- Apparently the site has been crawled since I mirrored Pulp Phantom. Searching for "Pulp Phantom" on Google brings the site up as number one. I was surprised to say the least when I first discovered this. Shortly thereafter, I placed a hidden counter on that page to see how much traffic I was getting now. In a little over twenty-four hours, the counter had logged over 1,800 hits. And, the counter on the main index page jumped by at least 200 in the space of six hours. I wonder how long it will be before the Admins come screaming at me for using up too much bandwidth. I have the feeling I will be taking down the mirror within a month if the traffic to those pages continues the way it has been...
- For those of you who have visited the site before, you have probably noticed the radical change in the site’s design. I always liked the layout of the site, but after three years of the same thing, I decided that it was time for a change. Aside from the new color scheme, the main difference is the absence of graphics on the site. Some pages will still have graphics where they are needed, but I am going for a cleaner (more simple) layout this time around. Some areas of the site are now designed with Flash (most notably the logo and the navigation links), but I tried to keep it from being too much of an eye-catcher. There are also many more links on the site now, many of which go to blank pages for the time being. Speaking of links, the navigation menu appears on every page, which is something that was not done the previous time around. Below is a brief description of what is (or will be) in each of the sections.
- It looks like Sev is finally running the weekly cartoons again. This means that SevTrek is (finally) back. I also added SevWars and SevSpace which is a general make fun of all shows strip. The strips are located on the Fun page along with other things.
- I added a search page that has handy search scripts for all the major engines like Yahoo and Google. There is a new poll on this page asking if you like the new look. Vote if you want. Also, I put up some hardware articles into the computer section. These articles are written by me for work. There are still some blank pages. I will be putting content on those pages soon.
March 25, 2004
- Well, I have yet to mention it here, but I made some major changes to the archive last month. I completly redid the site and added a really cool search function. I have been steadily adding things to the site, including a couple of new sections in the Vintage Star Wars area.
- I fixed the news applet. It may take a couple of hours for it to update itself, but it should be fine now.
- So today is the birthday of a friend of mine, and I decided to make an e-card for her since I was bored. If you are interested in seeing some of the stuff my demented imagination comes up with, click here. DISCLAMER: No chickens were harmed during the making of this video. Oh, and if anyone cares, tomorrow is my birthday...
- I made a few changes here and there to this page. The big change is the Symantec Security response thingie. It updates itself which is pretty cool. I removed the streaming audio as I believe most of them did not work anyway, and the case mod project is gone... I also fixed the poll so the graphs show up right and the link to Star Wars spoofs now opens up in a new window.
January 13, 2004
- A few years ago, I came across the site pulpphantom.com. The owner of the site created a series of flash movies that parody the movie Pulp Fiction, but it features Star Wars characters. Early last year, I noticed the site was gone without a trace, which is a shame because this is a great movie. I decided to put Pulp Phantom up on the crossroads so that it can live on. Hopefully I won't upset the creators of the movie by doing this. You click on the banner below, or click here.
- Although updates on The Crossroads have been lacking, I have been updating the Kenner Archive like mad. In the past few months, I have added over 300 new images. Go take a look.
- For some reason, the news applets are not showing up correctly which I will have to fix. Until next time.
November 8, 2003
The Dark Tower V is finally out. Rejoice!!! If you have not read any of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, I highly recommend it. The series is not like his typical horror offerings, but it is an excellent series. Books VI and VII are due out next year.
Here's some links to the books on Amazon if you are interested in purchasing them. And these are direct links, I get nothing out of it.
The Gunslinger The Drawing of the Three
The Wastelands Wizard and Glass Wolves of the Calla
If you prefer audiobooks as opposed to reading, you can get a good deal on the Audio Books at Audible. Audible allows you to download a digital copy of the audiobook or listen ot it as streaming audio (I am listening to The Gunslinger as I type this). And if you sign up for their subscription service, you can get a free audiobook. Their premium plan is 19.95 per month which allows you to download 2 books per month. So for 40.00 you can download all five books over two months. I think it is a great deal and I just signed up with them.
If you do decide to sign up for Audible, tell em llars sent you.
September 10, 2003
- I took down the banner (finally). I said I would take it down on the first, but apparently I forgot. It has now been removed. The game is good, but the developers dod not do a very good job of proofreading the text in the game. I have seen more than a few typos and grammatical errors. Oh well, it was free...
- Finally got the CGI working again. I went and bothered the Network Administrator at work today, and after looking at the site he determined that the cgi-bin folder was in the wrong place. Apparently he set up Apache differently this time and the cgi directory needed to be in a different location. Too bad I was never told this... So after moving the directory and changing some permissions, all is well.
- Speaking of the cgi, there is a new poll up, so go ahead and vote to your heart's content. For those of you interested, Vice City won the last poll with 38% of the votes.
Auust 18, 2003
- Let me start by saying this: I hate online advertising. Be it SPAM, pop-ups, or banner ads, I really hate it. One of the things I like about having my sites hosted at work is that I an not forced to put advertising on my sites. So now you are probanly thinking, If he hates advertising so much, why is there a banner on the front page? Good question. Here's the answer: free stuff. I have been afiliated with a marketing company for some time now. Every once in a while, they send me an e-mail saying put up our banner for a certain period of time and we'll give you something. This time I got a free copy of the PS2 game I have been advertising. Even though I have the game now, I am going to be nice and keep the banner up until the end of the month. Then the site will be banner free again. This is not a common thing though, its been close to a year since the last promotion, so the site will remain banner free for quite some time.
- I have been doing lots of stuff with the Kenner Archive, including new graphics for the front page and adding POTF2 stuff. But I have not uploaded anything yet. They have me designing E-commerce sites at work now which means more hours at work, plus I am (finally) getting my last semester of college out of the way. Yeah the poll is borke. We moved all of our domains to a new web server and something happened at that point. When I get some time, I will fix it, or I may just remove it alltogether.
- The CGI is broke. That's the best way to put it. We recently scrapped our old web server and moved all of our domains to a new Dell Poweredge server. I think the cgi broke when that happened. I will have to piss and moan until one of the Admins turns on cgi for the Archive.
- I was looking over this site the other day and saw some things that I didn't particularly like. The first thing that caught my attention was what an eyesore the Television page was. So I hosed it and put up links to some great X-files websites. More shows will follow. I think maybe I will take some time off from the Archive and update some stuff around here. We'll see. I would also like to add a photo gallery sometime down the line as I have a bunch of great stuff to share. But that won't happen for some time. Until next time...
June 18, 2003
- I did some updating to my case mod, and there is some new stuff on the archive. I actually am doing semi regular updates, I am just not making note of it here. Yes I know the voting script is broken. Our webserver took a nosedive and it stopped working after that. And yes I know there is a banner on the front page. But it is there for a good reason - I just can't tell you, and it's not a permanent addition to the front page.
- There is a new Endor spoof on starwarsspoofs.com, but Bespin is still my favorite. I stumbled across some great parodies of the Star Wars movies that I will be posting up soon. I am also planning on adding more content to the Star Wars pages as they are very bare. Until next time...
April 5, 2003
- I have been really bad about updating the news, so I figured I would put up a newsfeed. There are actually two different feeds. The one on this page lists three top stories for World news, Technology, and Sports. There is another newsfeed on the news page that has five top stories in thirteen different categories.
- Apparently Square and EA have severed thier partnership (woohoo!). Square is currently in the process of merging with Enix (WOOHOO!!!). For those of you not familiar with Enix, they are the creators of the Dragon Warrior series, among other things. Square and Enix are the two best console RPG makers, so only good things will come from this merger. That is all for now.
March 8, 2003
- So SevTrek has been broken from some time now. I left it up, because their website said they were having hosting issues and they would resolve the problem shortly. That was three months ago. So SevTrek is gone (for now), and I have replaced it with a banner for Star Wars Spoofs. If you are a fan of Star Wars, you have to visit this site. It is too funny to pass up. The best spoof hands down is the Bespin one. You will have to go there yourself to find out what it is.
December 24, 2002
- Well, I got the cgi voting script to work right finally, so I put it up. Basically its a poll of the month type thing, (hopefully I'll change it every month...) with the first one being for Jan 2003 since December is almost over. I removed all the search links on the right side and put up a cgi based one. Man, I'm going CGI crazy. I have also included a timer showing how long it will be until Episode III is released (May 25, 2005). Only 882 days to go. WOOHOO!!! I also added another link to my case mod project to the right side, so both tables would balance out. I moved the Archive to the top of the destinations list, since the "Trek Experience" is pretty pathetic in it's current state. Also, I (finally) did a news update. I made a few modifications to the links page. I fixed a broken link, and added a new link. And finally, for those of you who celebarate it, have a great christmas.
December 18, 2002
- I have added some new content to the Archive, about 30 more images. There is more on the way. My guestbook mysteriously lost all of its entries, so I decided to dump whatever I was using, since they were using me for advertsing anyway. I put up a cgi based guesbook that resides on the Archive. If you want to put something in it, scroll down the page and look on the right side. More to come, including a CGI voting system (maybe), more updates to the Archive, and an update to the case mod project. Later.
November 9, 2002
- Wow, only five months since the last update. I went back to working seven days a week, so my free time is limited. I had a bunch of updates for the Archive sitting on my computer collecting dust, so I uploaded them. Most of the new toys have been added. I am also working on a new section for The Crossroads devoted to my computer. It is entitled My case mod project. For those of you who do not know what case modding is, the best way to describe it would be turing your computer into an art project. I put up a link to the section under Destinations, but it is still in its infancy and I believe a few of the links don't work properly. I will be adding more to this in the upcoming weeks (I promise it won't e five months until the next update) If you have never seen a modded case before, I recommend you check it out. Peace Out.
April 23, 2002
- Been awhile since the last update. I have updated The Kenner Archive with the brand spanking new toys that came out today. Go check em out.
February 19, 2002
- Work progresses slowly on the Kenner archive. I am currently in the process of finishing of the Empire strikes back section. All I have left there is to finish off the variants section. I am also thinking about making a page devoted to Tyco's Electric Trucking line, since I have yet to see a page devoted to it in the internet. I am collecting pictures for it currently, but I doubt that I will do anything with it until I get closer to completing the Kenner Archive. I think I am up to 700 different images inside the Archive now. Cheers.
January 2, 2002
- More updates to the Kenner Archive. All of the broken Links should now be gone. Added some new content, and an updates page which lists everything new or changed.
December 24, 2001
- I just realized that I have not done a site update in almost three months. I have been working on some new content for the Kenner Archive, which is still incomplete. But since I haven't updated in a long time, I figured I would put it up. The new stuff includes Phantom Menace Action figures, an update to the Ewoks section, and a new layout of the front page. I also removed the pullout menus, as they did not seem to fit in with the scheme of things. There are some broken links (Particularly in ROTJ), but I will be fixing those up soon. I just wanted to put SOMETHING up since I have not updated in awhile. Have a great Christmas.
September 25, 2001
- Wow, I have really been out of the loop. I have seen previews of a new Television show entitled Enterprise, but I never had any idea that it was a new Star Trek series. Although I am a big Star Trek fan, I have not watched Star Trek religiously since The Next Generation. I liked Deep Space 9, but I never watched it on a regular basis. Then there was Voyager. I stopped watching that about halfway through the first season and never turned it on again. Enterprise looks good, and I am a fan of Scott Bakula because of Quantum Leap, so I hope Enterprise turns out to be a good series.
September 18, 2001
- Today, I am bringing the Kenner Arhive online. The site is now located at http://www.kennerarchive.com. The link below also reflects this change. There is a large amount of new content on the site, mostly items for the Empire Strikes Back line. I have also added some cool JavaScript navagitaion to the pages. It appears to work with Netscape. Peace Out.
September 14, 2001
- Yesterday morning, I woke up around 11:00 and turned on the television. What I saw horrified me. The first images I saw of the terrorist attack were those of people falling to their death from the World Trade Center. At first I thought it was another bombing. It is still astonishing to me that in this day and age four airplanes could be hijacked simultaneously. My heart goes out to those families who lost loved ones in yesterday's terrorist attack. Hopefully the people that were behind this will be swiftly brought to justice. Normally I would not condone acts of violence, but I think anyone involved should be shot on sight. There is a report that three men aboard the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania rushed the hijackers which led to the plane's eventual crash. I think these people should be treated as national Heroes if their identities are found.
August 27, 2001
August 26, 2001
- You may notice a few changes on this page. First off, I killed the download links, because the graphics were causing the page excessive load time. I have also added a News section just below the site updates. My goal is to have 3 or 4 news briefs on this page to keep it from getting too long, and then have a seperate news page. I have also added a line to the front page indicating the last time I added a news story. I hope to update the news on a normal basis, but we'll see what happens.
July 22, 2001
- A few minor changes today. I have replaced the World of Science Fiction link with a link to the Kenner Archive on this page. The reason for that is every other link on the Sci-Fi page is now a part of the Star Trek Experience. Speaking of the Star Trek Experience, I have been progressing along with adding more content, but it is not yet in a presentable form. There is an issue with the Star Trek Experience not displaying properly. This is because Netscape, in their infinite wisdom, decided to not support floating frames. My next task will be to create an index page that looks more attractive in Netscape. Netscape used to be a good browser until they were bought by AOL. Make sure to check out "The Ulink Family" at the bottom of this page, and The Kenner Archive if you are a fan of vintage Star Wars colectables. Peace Out.
July 18, 2001
- I have added a new section entitled "The Ulink Family." It is a satirical look at some of our employees. One of my co-workers who happens to be Ulink's webmaster made this as a joke. Check it out, it's quite funny. In case you were wondering, no I am not featured in this. The last person who took a picture of me was found dismembered. And don't forget to check out The Kenner Archive if you are a fan of vintage Star Wars colectables. It's worth a look. Peace Out.
July 16, 2001
- Well, after a 2 month absence, I have finally made an update. I have made some huge additions to the Star Wars action figures area. I have also removed all of the new toys indefinately. I may add them in the future, but for now I am going to concentrate on the vintage line. All of the Kenner toys can now be found under "The Kenner archive" in the World of Science fiction area. I have been restructuring the area which is now more appealing to me. I have also added around 150 +/- images for your viewing pleasure. If you are a vintage colletor or grew up with the toys, check it out, It should bring back some memories. The Star Trek Experience is currently on hold as I am debating on whether or not I should create the entire thing in Flash. Until next time...
May 12, 2001
- Well, I've gotten back into the habit of not doing any updates. Nothing new on the site, but I have been doing some work with the webring (GASP!). It's been quite a while since I have actually looked at it.
March 24, 2001
- Two updates in two days. Hmmm, I must be delusional. I have made some more headway on my "project" Click here to see it. I should point out that this section will be VERY Netscape unfriendly. Why Netscape doesn't support stuff like inline frames and style sheets is beyond me. All of the Trek stuff will still be available as it is now - through the World of Science Fiction pages, just without the neato effects. Here's a link to the html version, but it is not updated with the newest stuff. By the way, The X-files: Season 3 comes out at the begining of May. It will retail for 149.99 like the others, but if you shop around you should be able to find it for 99.00. Oh, and for anyone that actually cares, today is my birthday...
March 24, 2001
- I have made some major headway on my new "Project" The interface basically involves three steps: Easy - creating the layout in photoshop, Tedious - Slicing it up and making it into a webpage, and Pain in the ass - using Javascript to make all of the neato effects. I have finished the first two steps and made a bit of headway on the Javascript. I have also decided on a title for the section - The Star Trek Experience. Click here to see the latest progress.
March 22, 2001
- I'm working on a new project for the Star Trek area of the site. It is going to take awhile to complete because of the complexity of it. For a preview, click here.
March 19, 2001
- The link page has gotten an update! It now looks like a real link page being that it features more than 5 sites. Check it out.
March 18, 2001
- The Final Fantasy 7 Outpost is now located on the new server. Also I killed all the banners
on those pages.
February 17, 2001
- Wow, only three weeks between updates. Anyway, Many of the banners on the World of Science
Fiction pages are now gone. I have been doing a lot of work on the Star Wars action figure section,
and there is some new stuff there too. Also, there is a new title graphic on this page. It should
help the page in loading faster. Finally, at the bottom of this page there is a link to a project
I did at work. It's a pretty humorous animated gif, so check it out.
January 28, 2001
- The Sci-Fi page is on the Ulink server now. With this move I am changing the name of the
pages to The World of Science Fiction to match the name of my webring. Many of the pages still
have the annoying popup banners. I have to remove them from each html document so they will
gradually disappear as time goes by. A few of the pages may have broken images, which is because
I redesigned them and I have not chosen suitable graphics yet. And if you happen to find the
background annoying, don't worry, it's only on the first page.
December 13, 2000
- We have a new home!!! The site is now hosted by Ulink, a company I work for. Please point
your bookmarks to www.ulink.net/crossroads. You
may still access the site through Geocities or the redirect page. Nothing else has really been
done except for moving everything over. My next project is to move the Final Fantasy Outpost
here, and then the Sci-fi page, which is going to get a minor overhaul.
October 27, 2000
- Redesigned some more pages so all of the pages on Geocities should now be updated. Also,
if you are a fan of the X-files, you can currently find the entire first season in one dvd set
for 149.99. Also Season 2 is set for release around the end of November. You can Pre-order it
from express.com for 89.99. Enjoy.
Thursday October 13, 2000
- Finally went through the webring and added a bunch of sites. Thats all for today folks.
Thursday October 11, 2000
- Small Update today. I have added some searches on the right side of the page. The searches
will also open up in a new window. Enjoy.
Thursday October 5, 2000
- Well, after another year's absense, I have finally decided to do an update. And as you can
see, I have greatly changed the layout of the site. Hopefully, more changes will come in the
near future, but I cannot promise anything.
Tuesday January 18, 2000
- Well, It has been many moons since my last update. The reason being, I have
been without internet access for some time now, but I recently discovered a few Internet
providers that offer free access. Now before you email me asking where to find these, look around
on Yahoo or whatever search engine you prefer. They are not too difficult to find if you are
looking for them.
Now as far as the status of my webpages, I will not take them down, but I am not planning on
updating them anytime soon. But I have been adding sites to the webring left and right over the
weekend. If you are still waiting to be added, be patient as I will eventually get around to
checking the 80 or so sites still waiting to be added. To get added faster, feel free to e-mail
me and request to be added. My e-mail address is still the same and will never change providing
USA.net does not close. Until next time...
Wednesday May 26, 1999
- Well, It's been almost a year since the last update. Around July of last year, 2 of my 3
Hard Drives crashed, and i lost all the data stored on them. This included EVERYTHING pertaining
to my web pages. Since then, I haven't had much time to do anything let alone rebuild my pages.
Currently I am trying to get everyone added to the webring (there are many of you), and when that
is done I may consider working on my pages again. But for now, all I will be doing is updating
the Webring.
June 5, 1998
May 10, 1998
- I found a place that claims to have unlimited web space, but it will take awhile to put
everything up since i cant ftp in. I also took down that incredibly annoying popup banner.
April 2, 1998
- The In Living Color sounds will be down until I move to a new server.
- Apparently Prohosting has dropped their server space from 50 megs to 10 megs which I have
already used up. And as often as Prohosting is down, I am going to be moving to a new server,
but this wont happen for a couple weeks.
- Changed conters because the geocities one was messed up.
- Added a Star Wars humor section. Here is the
Link for it.
March 8, 1998
- The Sci-Fi page is now at the new server. Almost everything is up and there have been major
updates.
http://free.prohosting.com/sci-fi/index.html
- Changed the cast and supporting cast pictures in the Star Trek Section
- Changed the cast pictures in the Deep Space 9 section
- Added more images of the Star Wars card backs
- Added Vehicles for Star Wars
- Added Empire Strikes Back Card backs, Vehicles and Multipacks
- Added Ewoks section
- The Power of the Force 1995 section will be down until I get more done on it.
- There are still a few broken links that I have yet to weed out. Also note that the new server
occasionally goes down for a short time, but for 50 megs of space i think it is a fair
exchance.
February 22, 1998
- Not much new, removed the script on the front page and put up a different picture.
- Work on the Sci-Fi Page is going kinda slow, but I have the Star Wars figures complete and
the ESB figures near complete. Hopefully it will be done in the not so distant future.

- Happy belated Thanksgiving.
- My counter got screwed up and it says 20,000+ hits. It is actually in the 2,000's
- I am (finally) in the process of getting a new server for my web pages. If I get the account,
I will not have to worry about web space any more. I will also be able to put up the rest of
my In Living Color Sounds and finally update the page.
- Keep an eye out for The South Park Page, coming soon.
November 7, 1997
- Added the Sev Trek comic Strip to the main page and took down the Sci-Fi Ring link and code.
The ring does continue to work, though.
- The fourth installment of Stephen Kings The Dark Tower, which is titled Wizard and Glass is
now out in stores. Although long, this is a very good series.
October 24, 1997
- Because of the removal of the Sci-Fi ring (read below), and the addition of my new Webring,
I have decided to make buhweet@usa.net
the permanent address for this site and all of my other sites.
- I am no longer accepting entries into the Sci-Fi ring. It has become difficult to manage, so
I decided to create a new and improved webring. All the information can be found at
The World of Science Fiction Web Ring. One of the biggest improvements
is that I can guarantee fast entry into the ring by using my
buhweet@usa.net e-mail address. I encourage anyone with a Science Fiction related
site to join.

- Updated The Final Fantasy VII Outpost. More details there.
- Some major changes are coming this week. Keep an eye out for them.
- In other news, The Florida Marlins won today over The Cleveland Indians 14-11. The Marlins
now lead the World Series 2 games to 1.
- Target now carries an exclusive 12" Luke Skywalker Hoth and Wampa. These are incredibly rare,
and can only be found at Target. Toys R Us also has an exclusive 12" Han Solo Hoth and Taun
Taun. Watch for this as well.

- Regarding e-mail: On my main Final Fantasy Page, I indicate my e-mail as being
buhweet@usa.net. At this time, I am only using this for FF7 related e-mails, but it will
become my primary address sometime soon. Anything not related to FF7 should be sent ro
roland-1@rocketmail.com. Any mail sent to roland@inreach.com will NOT reach me. Sorry for
the inconvience.

- After recooperating for a day I am now ready go get back into things. I beat Final Fantasy 7
yesterday, and with putting in around sixty hours into the game since the seventh, college,
and work, I havent been able to get enough sleep. Expect major updates this weekend.
- Added a new section: The Final Fantasy VII Outpost. Currently it is not much to look at, but
I plan on adding much more including a complete walkthrough, secrets, etc. It is located at
http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/cairo/51/index.html. Currently It has Profiles and
pictures of all the major characters and a few other things.

- Updates to Sci-Fi Page: SW Action Figures
- Seperated Card backs and promotional figures for Star Wars.
- Added prices for Empire Strikes Back Figures
- For those of you who own a Sony Playstation and have not yet played Final Fantasy 7, I highly
reccomend that you at least rent it. The video sequences are stunning, and the game plays
very good. I have already invested 50 hours into it, and I still haven't gotten enough.
September 3, 1997
- Recently I have been slow to update my pages because I just started a new semester of
college, which takes up much of my time.
- The Sci-Fi Page is also on rocky ground as I do not know how long I will have access to it.
- Those of you applying to the Sci-Fi Ring, please bear with me I will add you as soon as I
can. A few weeks ago I sent out another notice to the users that are still waiting to be
added. Unfortunately the reply address was my old e-mail address. If you have sent any mail
to my old inreach account and it was sent back please forward it to my rocketmail account and
I willl respond as soon as possible.
- For those RPG game fans out there, Final Fantasy 7 comes out for the Playstation on the
seventh. It is already called the best RPG ever and will be well worth the price. Most places
are offering a free T-shirt if you preorder a copy.
- A new Star Trek movie is in the works and i will post information as I get it, but I WILL NOT
POST ANY SPOILERS. I believe they take away from movies.
September 2, 1997
- I decided to start a news page so I can inform you of things that are happening with my pages
and other things that I think are worth mentioning.
- Recently I lost access to my ISP. Because of this, I lost my primary e-mail server. I changed
to roland-1@rocketmail.com. I am finding it
very difficult to manage the Sci-Fi Ring because Rocketmail does not have a POP3 server which
prevents me from downloading my mail. With all of the e-mail I get, it is too hard to manage
it all in Rocketmail so I am in the process of changing e-mail address yet again. Anyone
needing to contact me, send the e-mail to Rocketmail for now.
- There will be a major update coming soon to The In Living Color Multimedia gallery. I have
everything on my computer but the pages I use for it are currently down.
- In other news, It seems that there will be a new cast member on Star Trek: Voyager. This
person will play a female Borg crew member.
- Just recently the FX channel started playing the X-Files. I had never seen an episode of it
before, but I saw the first episode of it and instantly became hooked. The last show I
watched religiously was Star Trek: The Next Generation which is long gone. I encourage anyone
who has not seen the X-Files to watch it at least once. It is a very good show.
- For those of you who collect Star Wars action figures, keep a close eye out for the Slave
Leia and Han Bespin. They have been out for awhile, but are virtually impossible to find.
The only chance of finding them is to get into a sealed case. More figures will be released
this month. Also watch for the Leia speederbike.
